POLICE are looking for vandals who painted a swastika on Stoneleigh Bridge.

Officers say they believe the symbol is a hate crime and are trying to remove the graffiti as soon as possible.

The image was painted onto the listed bridge between Monday morning (July 11) and Wednesday morning (July 13).

A spokesman from the police said: “This has been recorded as a hate incident, and enquiries are ongoing. The graffiti will be removed as a matter of urgency.

“Hate incidents are not tolerated within Warwickshire and our officers are committed to investigating every incident reported to us and bringing offenders to justice.”

Police are asking anyone with information or who witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area to get in touch by calling 101 or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
