TONY Mowbray has bolstered his attacking options further with the signing of American striker Jack McBean on loan from MLS franchise LA Galaxy.
The 6ft 1” forward first signed with LA Galaxy in 2011 and has been playing his most recent football in their reserve side.
Overall in the MLS McBean has made 19 appearances with two goals and two assists and the California native has represented the USA at U17 and U18 level.
He will remain with the Sky Blues until mid-January and is likely to feature more for the Under-21s as he looks to improve on his fitness under the guidance of Nicky Eaden.
Mowbray added: “Jack is a young player with potential who is over here to develop and try to progress his career.
“He’s played all of his football in the US leagues and will need a certain amount of time to adapt to the physical demands of the English game.
“Jack will spend some time with Nicky Eaden in the U21s side to work on his match fitness and we’ll continue to monitor his progress in line with the needs of th first-team.”
