Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following Holyhead pub stabbing

A MAN has been arrested following a stabbing at a Coventry pub last night (October 2).

Officers were called to The Holyhead, on Holyhead Road, at around 7.40pm following reports that a man had been stabbed in the stomach.

The 32-year-old was taken to University Hospital (UHCW) for treatment.

His condition is described as stable.




A 44-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently helping police with their enquiries.

Officers continue to investigate the circumstances around the assault which includes speaking to witnesses and trawling CCTV.
