SNOOKER: FANS of the green baize are in for an early Christmas treat next month when Mark Allen plays can exhibition event in the city.
‘The Pistol’ is widely regarded as one of the top players in the world having won three ranking events and he also reached the semi-final of the World Snooker Championships in 2010 before being beaten by eventual winner John Higgins.
Allen will be gracing Rileys Coventry in Hertford Place on December 10 (6pm) to face 16 amateur hopefuls who will all attempt to beat the Northern Irishman.
Riley Coventry manager James said: “We’re incredibly lucky to have Mark Allen down. He’ll be facing off against some of the ‘local snooker stars’ and I just can’t wait to see how it all plays out. We’ll be pulling out all the stops for the legend!”
