Newcastle defender Jamie Sterry thanks Sky Blues after loan spell comes to an end

FOOTBALL: DEFENDER Jamie Sterry has penned a thank you letter to everyone involved with Coventry City after ending his loan spell with the League One club.

The 21-year-old joined the Sky Blues from Newcastle United last summer and went on to make 20 appearances for the club.

Sterry also scored his first professional goal while on loan at the Ricoh Arena when he scored in the 1-1 draw away at Morecombe in the FA Cup back at the beginning of November.

Sterry said: “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Coventry City Football Club, the fans, players and staff for the support that you have given me and for all you have taught me!

“This is a special club with amazing fans and I will never forget my time here.

“I have really enjoyed my time here. I have really enjoyed my time with the club and would like to wish everyone involved all the best for the remainder of the season #PUSB.”
