UPDATE: Coventry City fans snap up more than half of club's ticket allocation for Checkatrade Trophy final

MORE THAN half of Coventry City Football Club’s ticket allocation for the Checkatrade Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium has been sold, the club has said.

With 40,000 tickets available, the club has been overwhelmed with support shown by Sky Blues fans – which has allowed officials to open up seating on level five at the national stadium,

The club are now urging fans to attend this Saturday’s crunch League One fixture against Swindon Town, with those attending the game able to gain access to tickets for the final ahead of general release on Monday, March 13.

By 2pm on Monday (February 20) – the day which tickets first went on sale – 11,000 tickets had been snapped up by season ticket holders with that figure expanding to 15,000 by 4.30pm.

The final on April 2 versus Luton Town or Oxford United sees the Sky Blues return to Wembley for the first time since 1987, and for the first time since the new national stadium opened.

Season ticket holders can buy up to six Wembley tickets as a reward their loyalty, prompting fears there may not be many left for general sale.

Full ticket details released by the club are below:
