PRIME Minister Theresa May has revealed that the Westminster attacker was British-born and known to the police and intelligence services.
The manĀ had been investigated a number of years ago over violent extremism, but was ‘peripheral’ and not part of the current intelligence picture.
It has been revealed today that the car used in the horrific terror attack on Wednesday was hired from a firm in Solihull.
Several arrests have been made in Birmingham since the attack – fueling claims the attacker was from the region.
Islamic State has since said it was behind the attack, but police believe the lone-wolf attacker was inspired by, not working with or trained by ISIS.
