THE NHS is appealing for blood donors to attend sessions this weekend to help meet demand in local hospitals.
There will be two sessions this Saturday at the United Reformed Church on Baginton Road, Styvechale between 9.20am and 12.30pm and 1.45pm and 4pm.
NHS Blood and Transplant said that with just three per cent of the eligible population giving blood, more donors are urgently required.
It is recommended to book in advance by calling 0300 123 23 23.
