VISITORS to Berkswell Windmill this weekend will be able to learn about the art of beekeeping.
A group of Warwickshire beekeepers will be on hand to answer any questions visitors have to throw at them from the safety of a sting-free glass observation hive.
The event, which takes places on Saturday, presents an ideal opportunity for people to see the bees close up in a safe environment.
Visitors will also be able to learn something new, including that one bee throughout its lifetime produces just one teaspoon of honey.
And it’s not just bees that will keep minds buzzing.
The Windmill – which was last used for purpose in 1948 – will also throw open its doors where visitors can enjoy a guided tour and youngsters can try their hand at milling flour.
A small entrance fee of £3.50 has been set for adults with all proceeds going towards the maintenance of the mill.
Folk singer Bill Pullen will also be on hand to keep peoples feet tapping.
