Miner Barron impresses on Blaze debut

Coventry Editorial 16th Jan, 2018   0

ICE HOCKEY: NEW defenceman Alex Miner Barron has settled into life at Coventry Blaze well and admitted he can’t wait to get back out on the ice this weekend.

The 26-year-old tasted defeat on debut for Blaze at Guildford on Saturday, but fortunes quickly reversed as Danny Stewart’s men defeated Fife Flyers 5-2 at the Skydome Arena on Sunday.

Barron showed composure at the back and even pushed forward on several plays, highlighting his positive attitude.

Speaking after the game, he said: “I feel amazing. I love it here.

“It’s a great rink with great fans, who helped a lot during the game.”
