WEST Midlands police have announced that they are working with private investigators to find Nicola Payne after 27 years.
This week, the reward was raised to £100,000 by a donor – who wishes to remain anonymous – for any information leading to locating Nicola.
Police investigating the Coventry mum’s disappearance say they will continue to follow up any new information which will help in finding her remains and bring closure to her family.
Detectives have been working closely with a specialist search team as part of their continued search for Nicola.
Detective superintendent Tom Chisholm, from Force CID, said: “We are as committed as ever to finding Nicola’s remains, allowing her family to lay her to rest and to achieving justice for her family and the community.
“I hope this reward encourages people to come forward with any information they have.
“We still believe there maybe people out there who hold information about what happened in 1991 and I urge anyone who has not previously contacted us with information to contact us. It could make all the difference.
“All information that has been given up to now has been thoroughly investigated, what we need now is new information and leads that could finally bring Nicola’s family the closure they deserve.”
