AN ARRAY of supercars are coming to Motofest Coventry as part of a series of turbo charged firsts at this year’s event.
The Supercar Driver club (SCD) will make a first ever appearance at this year’s Motofest Coventry with around 50 or so members and their cars set to appear each day.
SCD members cars including Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Ferraris and McLarens, to name but a few, will be on display across the two days in a dedicated super car area situated close to Coventry Cathedral.
The cars will also take to the circuit each day for a special supercar parade lap display.
In another first for Motofest Coventry, Loughborough Car Club on behalf of the Motor Sport Association (MSA), will provide demonstration displays of Autotesting at this year’s festival.
And visitors will get the opportunity to experience the motorsport through passenger rides.
Autotesting is a low speed, high skill motorsport involving incredible car control and has been the launch pad for many famous drivers including former world rally champion Colin Mcrae, who began his motorsports career by winning a regional Autotest Championship.
At the main Motofest Coventry event, the Autotest drivers will showcase their skills in a dedicated arena set-up for the weekend and visitors will be able to turn up and ride in the cars to find out what it’s like to take part in one of the most accessible grassroots motorsports currently available.

“Motofest Coventry has always been about making motorsport and the automotive industry accessible and part of that approach has been to bring new and exciting content to the festival that visitors can see close up and interact with.
“In recent years we have had the Aston Martin Vulcan make its ever first ever appearance on a UK road circuit, we also have of course time trailing taking place for first time this year and first time appearances from the SCD and Loughborough Car Club on behalf of the MSA, all adding to another incredible line up this year in our fifth anniversary year.”
Motofest Coventry is a two-day festival dedicated to the city’s motoring heritage, which this year takes place on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3.
There will be a range of automotive activities taking place from pop-up and demonstration events to static displays and fringe events at Motofest Coventry, now the largest free urban motorsport festival in the UK.
