AN open top bus parade around the city for the triumphant Sky Blues team will take place tomorrow, it has been confirmed.
The Lord Mayor of Coventry will hold a Civic Reception for the promotion winning squad – preceded by the open top bus tour through Coventry, which will be reminiscent of the FA Cup win of 1987.
While fewer may be able to attend at short notice, Lord Mayor John Blundell said Coventry City Council had to act speedily given the Sky Blues’ players are about to start a well-earned holiday before starting in League One in August.
It is the club’s first promotion since 1967.
The Lord Mayor has invited Mark Robins and the Coventry City squad for a Civic Reception to recognise the achievement of the club this season.
