COVENTRY City defender Chris Stokes has joined Bury on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old former Forest Green defender is heading north to join the League Two side after making 95 appearances for the Sky Blues over nearly three years, including at Wembley.
The Coventry City website states today: “Stokes started both the Checkatrade Trophy victory of 2017 and the League Two Play-Off Final last season, helping to secure City promotion back to League One, while being awarded the Community Player of the Season award too.
“Everyone at Coventry City would like to thank Chris his contribution to the club on and off the pitch, and wish him the best of luck for the future.”
