IMAGES have been released of a van suspected to be involved in a hit-and-run in which a seven-year-old boy suffered facial injuries.

Police want to question the driver in connection with the incident on the A45 Fletchamstead Highway, Coventry, on Monday, September 24.

A father and his son were struck near the Kenilworth Road junction around 4.40pm.

The 38-year-old dad suffered a leg injury and his son facial injuries which were fortunately not serious.

Sergeant Liam Hemmings from West Midlands Police traffic unit said: “They were crossing the road when hit by the vehicle and it is just good fortune they were not more seriously hurt.

“We believe the driver would have known there had been a collision and we are urging anyone who recognises this vehicle to contact us.”
