A MUM has paid tribute to her ‘beautiful son’ who was shot dead in Coventry last week.

Grace Sterling took to Facebook yesterday (December 10) to announce the passing of her son, Addison Packeer.

She wrote: “My beautiful son Addison Packeer was sadly shot dead in Willenhall, Coventry, on Friday.

“I’m crushed someone took his life at the age of 27. I can’t even begin to explain what I’m feeling as a mother.

“I’m never again going to see his face, smile, hug him or hear his goofy giggle. He has a family who is going to miss him forever.

“Son, I will eternally love and miss you. Till we meet again xxx”

West Midlands Police were called to an address in Chepstow Close, Willenhall, at just after 1am last Friday (December 7).

A man was pronounced dead at the scene and police have now confirmed this was Mr Packeer.

A 25-year-old man handed himself in to a police station this morning.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and police say he has been released pending further investigations.
