A BLADE-WIELDING gang who ‘chased’ a man by car from Coventry seriously assaulted him after he crashed his vehicle.
Police have launched an investigation after the incident in Wolvey Road, Bulkington, at around 8.40pm on Sunday (January 13).
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was in a silver VW Golf which collided with a wall and stationary vehicles.
He was then attacked by three men who police suspect had tracked him from Coventry.
Police say they were carrying blades and the victim suffered injuries to his back and arm.
Warwickshire Police detective inspector Lisa Sears said: “At this time we believe the victim’s car was pursued from Coventry by a white Audi containing the offenders.
“One of the lines of enquiry we are following at the moment is that the victim knew the offenders.
“There will have been people around at the time of the incident and we’re keen to speak to anyone who saw the assault or the VW Golf being chased from Coventry.”
Witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact Warwickshire Police on 101.
