A GIRL, 14, remains in a serious condition in hospital five days after being hit by a bus in Coventry.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson today confirmed she is in hospital in a ‘serious but stable’ state.
Emergency services were called to Stoney Stanton Road in Coventry at 6.16pm last Thursday (February 7).
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car rushed to the scene.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson last week said: “Police are investigating a serious collision on Stoney Stanton Road in Foleshill, Coventry, after an out of service bus hit a cyclist just before 6.30pm last night (Thursday, February 7).
“The 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital with a serious head injury, where she remains today (Friday, February 8).
“The bus driver is helping police with enquiries.”
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said last week: “Crews arrived to find a girl who was seriously injured following a collision with a bus.
“She received treatment at the scene, including specialist trauma care, before being transported to Birmingham Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.
“Nobody else was injured in the incident.”
