BABLAKE School student Zien Zhou recovered from crashing out at the Coventry Half Marathon to take the London Mini Marathon title for the third and final time recently.
The Coventry Observer recently helped to publicize a fundraiser for the 17-year old prior to the Coventry Half Marathon, which allowed the rising star to raise the necessary funds to help buy a new racing wheelchair.
Despite his chair tipping over during the race, in which he was leading, he was was forced to retire from the event, but did not let the ordeal dim his will to win just four days later.
On Sunday April 28, Zhou returned to Coventry with another title at the Mini Marathon in London, contested by boys under 17 years of age.
In the last year that he is eligible to compete, Zien completed a third win at the event, an impressive feat during his four-year wheelchair racing career.
