AN EXTENSIVE ‘underground’ cannabis farm has been uncovered after a raid by Coventry police.
Coventry Police put out a series of tweets including footage of the moment officers climbed down a ladder into what appears to be a basement filled with cannabis plants.

A warrant was executed at the property in Gulson Road, Coventry, just before 7am on Monday (August 5).
Coventry City Centre Police tweeted: “We, along with our colleagues from West Midlands Force Support Unit #DShiftCov and #Newtown, have executed a warrant at an address this morning where we have found a large cannabis grow and a large amount of cash.
“The cannabis grow we found was located underground.
“Three rooms containing plants of various sizes can be seen here.
“These will not be hitting the streets of Coventry!
“Located in the address was a large sum of cash. This has also been seized.”
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug. They remain in police custody.”
