A CAR has been stolen at knifepoint in Coventry city centre.

The carjacking happened in Jordan Well at around 9:35pm last night (Monday, August 5).

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “The driver of a Vauxhall Corsa and his friend were threatened with a knife by two men who took the keys and drove off.

“Fortunately neither of the men were injured.”

A social media post describing the incident reads: “The carjackers are described as young, skinny Asian lads with one having some front gold teeth and all having some facial hair.

“This car jacking involved a knife so please be careful. This gang may also be related to some other recent carjackings in Coventry.”
