High-flying performance set to be staged on a Coventry city centre tower block

Coventry Editorial 28th Aug, 2019   0

A PERFORMANCE high above an audience on a tall building in Coventry city centre will explore the changing face of the city.

HOME – which will combine high-flying aerial performance, choreography, projections and an electronic sound score – is a collaboration between Coventry-based Highly Sprung performance company and circus theatre pioneers Upswing.

After weeks of creating the visuals, soundscapes and short films, the final performance will take place on Sunday, September 15 at 8.30pm on Coventry University’s Alison Gingell Building.

An audience will gather in a car park beneath the building and is set to be wowed by the scale of the performance which takes inspiration from Coventry’s architecture – from medieval times through to the present day.

It will also feature a community performance on the ground, alongside emerging aerial artists taking to the air.
