Man charged after terrifying four-foot 'spear' found in Coventry

A MAN will stand accused of possessing a terrifying four-foot ‘spear’ in Coventry.

Police apprehended a man on Monday (August 26) who was said to be carrying the blade.

West Midlands Police’s Force Response unit tweeted: “#DunitCov officers have detained a male in possession of this… what can only be described as a spear! It measures four feet in length!

It added a man “was arrested by a taser crew.”




A police spokesperson said Liam Weeks, aged 34 and of Fynford Road, Radford, Coventry, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.

He has been bailed to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on September 16.
