POLICE pointed a taser at a boy, 14, and seized a knife after stopping and searching a duo in Coventry.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Police responded to concerns of people with weapons in Fraser Road, Keresley, around 7.30pm yesterday (September 3).
“Officers attended and following a short foot chase two teenagers were detained and a knife and dumbbell recovered.
“A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and released under investigation.
“A 15-year-old boy will be voluntarily interviewed at a future date.”
A Tweet from the West Midlands Force Support unit read: “Officers called to youths possibly armed with knives, upon arrival they make off on foot, all males detained shortly after.
“A 14-year-old who ran from officers was detained after being taser red dotted, this was found concealed in his waistband.”
