Three Coventry people arrested over murder of woman, 32, found at home with multiple stab injuries

THREE Coventry people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman found stabbed at her home.

Suvekshya Burathoki, aged 32, suffered multiple stab wounds.

Known as Fatima and from Nepal, she was found at her home in Bartholomew Street, Highfields, Leicester, after 8.30am on Tuesday morning (October 8) with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

All three were arrested at an address in Coventry.




A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender


A 33-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender

They remain in custody and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Mark Sinski, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) said: “While we’ve made these arrests, our investigation into Fatima’s death is still very much ongoing and I would still like to speak to anyone who is yet to come forward with information.”
