DETECTIVES investigating the death of Fidel Glasgow last year are seeking the public’s help to identify a further suspect.

Fidel, 21, the grandson of The Specials singer Neville Staple, was stabbed during a disorder near to Club M in the early hours of September 1 2018 and died in hospital just hours later.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested for murder and violent disorder after he  handed himself in to a police station on Wednesday November 6 following a CCTV police appeal for information.

West Midlands Police say he saw the images on social media and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 31-year-old man, who also handed himself in after seeing the appeal, was arrested on Thursday, November 14, on suspicion of violent disorder and was released on police bail.

Another 23-year-old man identified by detectives was arrested on suspicion of murder and violent disorder on Friday, November 15, and bailed.

Detective Inspector Michelle Allen, from the force’s homicide unit, said: “The public’s help in sharing these images has been vital in helping us trace people who were there on the night Fidel died.

“The information we receive from speaking to anyone who may or may not have been involved in the disorder adds to our picture of the events that night and brings us a step closer to finding the person responsible for Fidel’s death.

“I would like to thank those who have shared our appeals and would ask for help once again.”
