A YOUNG woman has been left with cuts and grazes by a knife-wielding intruder, who tried to rob her in her home in Coventry.

Police say the intruder demanded cash from the woman during the attack in Radford, and cut her wrist with a knife.

West Midlands Police said: “Officers were called to an attempted robbery at an address in Treherne Road, Radford, Coventry, just before 11am today on January 2.

“A woman in her 20s was inside the property at the time and disturbed the intruder who demanded money. She suffered grazes and a superficial cut to her wrist from what is believed to be a pen knife as the man fled empty handed.
