Family pay tribute to 'kind and caring' cyclist killed in Coventry collision

THE FAMILY of a cyclist killed in a traffic collision in Coventry (January 20) have paid tribute to a ‘much-loved husband and father’.

Chris Carey was struck by a silver coloured Hyundai i10 shortly before 6.30am on Tamworth Road in Keresley.

The 38-year-old died at University Hospital, Walgrave, Coventry, later that morning.

Police say the driver stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.




The family of Mr Carey said: “Chris was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother and friend.

“He was kind, caring, funny and loving. He lit up the lives of everyone who knew him and will be desperately missed.”


Officers investigating the collision continue to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
