TWO teenagers have tonight been charged with the murder of Babacar Diagne, who was stabbed to death in Coventry last week.
The 15-year-old boys will appear before magistrates in the city tomorrow morning (Tuesday).
Babacar, also 15, was found collapsed on grassland off Petitor Crescent, Wood End, at around 7pm on Wednesday (February 5).
This morning, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in Coventry shortly before 10am and taken into custody to be questioned on suspicion of murder.
He remains in police custody this evening, along with a 15-year-old girl who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder yesterday.
DCI Scott Griffiths, leading the investigation, said: “We’re making excellent progress and our work continues.
“We are offering all the support we can to the family of Babacar as they continue to try to come to terms with what has happened.”
