Police appeal after lorry hits boy in Coventry

POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a boy being hit by a lorry in Coventry.

As reported in the Observer, an 11-year-old boy was knocked from his bicycle by a lorry on the Bannerbrook in Tile Hill, Coventry.

An air ambulance attended to the boy and he was flown to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

West Midlands police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a boy suffered serious leg injuries following a collision in Coventry yesterday, the 11-year-old cyclist was struck by a lorry turning off Banner Lane into Astoria Drive at around 8.30am. He remains in hospital receiving treatment.




“The driver remained at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has not already spoken to officers.
