Police appeal for witnesses to collision which left teenage moped rider with serious head injuries

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a teenage moped rider was seriously injured following a collision in Coventry.

The 16-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after he struck the central reservation in Sky Blue Way near the junction with the Coventry Ring Road at around 5.15pm yesterday (13 July).

He remains in a critical but stable condition.

West Midlands Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area, or who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.




Sgt Dean Caswell from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We’re in the process of establishing the circumstances around the collision and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.”
