SOLIHULL Council has joined with Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council to help keep communities safer.
One of the ways they are doing this as one of the 11 Beacon authorities is to implement local plans to manage Covid-19.
This is done through sharing data and intelligence and working together with key partners including the NHS and community leaders to ensure residents are able to access the information they need to help to stop the spread of the virus.
There is a dedicated website at https://staysafecsw.info/ which also includes a range of information for business and residents along with the latest information about Covid-19 cases in the region, testing capacity and health care data and signposting to the NHS Test and Trace service.
Talking about the site Councillor Ian Courts, Leader of Solihull Council, said: “The Beacon programme is a recognition that to tackle the pandemic it is important to work across administrative boundaries.
“With our close neighbours we have been able to pool resources, develop new approaches and work together to keep our communities safe.
“The Beacon Stay Safe website is also keeping partners and residents across the sub-region as well informed as possible with the information we all need to tackle Covid-19.”
