FESTIVE film fans are in for a treat when a drive-in cinema comes to Stoneleigh Park between now and Christmas Eve.
A month of Christmas classics will be screened – from Love Actually, It’s a Wonderful Life and The Holiday to Elf, Home Alone, the Polar Wxpress and, of course, Nativity.
Nightflix, which is running the events, is also showing Paddington, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, A Star Is Born, The Greatest Showman, Rocketman and Bridget Jones’ Diary.
Audience safety is at the centre of the drive-in cinema event planning.
All government guidelines on social distancing will be followed, including track and trace measures and local lockdown tier adherence.
The sites will be fully decked with festive cheer so that film fans can get into the Christmas mood.
Visitors can also enjoy their usual favourite cinema snacks with their film as food and drink will be available to purchase on site, with social distancing guidelines in place to assure moviegoers safety.
Nightflix owner John Sullivan says: “This year has been a tough one for film fans without access to their local cinemas, and we’re delighted to be able to bring a Christmas schedule packed with something for everyone to enjoy in socially-distanced drive-ins around the country.
“These films are so strongly associated with the festive feeling, and even in areas under strict lockdown the drive-in still lets families enjoy Christmas classics from the comfort and safety of their own vehicles. We’re ho-ho-hoping to bring a bit of festive cheer to people with these wonderful films.”
Tickets per car range from £29 to £34 (plus a booking fee).
