NEW brightly coloured playground markings at a Coventry primary school have been funded by a £1,000 business donation.

Grange Farm Primary School in Styvechale received the cash from Amazon’s receive centre in the city.

The donation will support the transformation of the playground at the school with bright new playground markings to help encourage active outdoor play.

Head teacher Martin Ledgard said: “On behalf of all our pupils and staff, we would like to say a big thank you to the Amazon team. This donation will help to make our playground a great place for the children to play and socialise.”

Paul Roberts, site leader at Amazon in Coventry, said: “We are pleased to support such a brilliant school and their efforts to improve the playground.

“We hope the new markings will encourage the children to use their imagination, to exercise and to have fun.”

The donation was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations in the UK.

Community donations are one of a number of ways in which Amazon is supporting communities across the UK during Covid-19.
