DRIVERS in Coventry are being urged to ensure their cars are roadworthy and legal after several were clamped by officers from the DVLA.
The action was taken on motorists in Foleshill to ensure the vehicles could not be taken out on the roads illegally.
The move has been welcomed by Foleshill Police who posted on social media this picture of cars on Cross Road that had been stopped in their tracks by the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Agency.
Officers said similar clampings had been carried out right across the area and added it should act as a warning to other motorists who flouted the law.
To be driven legally on UK roads, cars, vans and other vehicles need to have a valid MoT (unless under three years old), be taxed and have a valid insurance policy in place.
