Comedian Alan Carr heading to Coventry on his new 'Regional Trinket' stand-up tour

TV FUNNYMAN Alan Carr will be at Warwick Arts Centre on November 26 and 27 as part of his eagerly-awaited ‘Regional Trinket’ stand-up tour.

The title comes from Alan’s belief that the phrase ‘national treasure’ is the most overly-used phrase in the English language and he sees himself more as a ‘regional trinket’.

During the shows he will speak about how he spent time during the pandemic.

He said: “I’m not going to mock the disease – it’s going to be all about lockdown and people hoarding toilet rolls.

“I regressed to a 13-year-old. I did all the things I used to enjoy as a 13-year-old – birdwatching, jigsaw puzzles, Cluedo.

“It was a surprise I didn’t start playing Knock Down Ginger.”

He added the show was aimed at spreading lots of joy and see

“I want people to leave with a smile on their faces – after the last 18 months, I know audiences need a laugh,” he added.

“I just hope at the end they are heading for their cars and not the refund booth.”
