A FLOORING company which has a store in Coventry has provided more than £5,000 worth of carpets to two charities which have helped more than 40,000 homeless young people, writes Shnae Harrison.

Flooring Superstore has provided the coverings to The Amber Foundation based in Devon, Surrey and Wiltshire and Macs operating in Northern Ireland.

Stephen Ballantyne, The Amber Foundation’s head of fund-raising and communications, said: “It’s a very generous donation from Flooring Superstore and one which are grateful for as it’s important for the young people to live in a well-furnished environment, to feel comfortable and safe.”

Through Flooring Superstore’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, by donating flooring across all 40 UK stores, the company has been able to support community organisations, schools and local charities.

Dan Foskett, Chief Executive Officer of Flooring Superstore, said: “We are proud to have been a part of this project and hope it will contribute to the settling in process for many more young people – putting them on the road towards a more stable future.”
