A MAN has been charged over a firearms incident in Coventry on Monday night.

Armed police were called to Winceby Place, Tile Hill.

Nial Dalton, of no fixed address, has been charged with two assaults and dangerous driving. The 20-year-old is due to appear before Coventry Magistrate’s Court today (Wednesday).

His charge follows West Midlands Police’s ongoing investigation into an incident where a man, his teenage son and dog were hit by a car on Park Hill Drive.

Fortunately they both only suffered minor injuries, but the dog was seriously injured.

A 17-year-old boy has been released on police bail, while two men aged 49 and 66 have been released while our enquires continue.

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact officers via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
