COVENTRY Police shut down two more cannabis grows in Foleshill on Saturday.

The plants and growing equipment was seized by officers from Foleshill and Stoke and Wyken Neighbourhood Teams and one man was arrested and taken into custody.

Police have stressed as well as being illegal, cannabis cultivations were often extremely dangerous because of the electricity set-ups.

Often those involved will bypass electricity supplies and work will not have been carried out by people qualified to create such contraptions.

Coventry Police has urged anyone who knows of cannabis factories or suspects grows in their area – from either sight or smell – to report it to officers on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
