Fast Formula 1 fun for all the family at the British Motor Museum this half-term

Coventry Editorial 19th Feb, 2022   0

CHILDREN of all ages can line up on the grid for some Formula 1 fun at the British Motor Museum between February 19 and 27.

A host of exciting racing themed activities will take place throughout the week and visitors can find out about the much-loved British sports cars in the venue’s collection, including Morgan, Lotus, Triumph, McLaren and Aston Martin.

Youngsters can make a LEGO Formula 1 racing car every day from 10am to 3pm and race it along a track, recording their time to see who constructs the fastest one.

A family weekend tour – on both February 19 and 20 and 26 and 27 – can help the museum’s ‘resident racing driver’ Jackie Demon pick out their next drive and discover the amazing racing cars.

Professor Pickle and Doctor Pumpkin will run their ever-popular Science Shows on February 21, 22, 24 and 25, sharing the secret science of cars and on Wednesday, February 23, visitors can join STEM ambassadors from MOD Kineton to make and launch ‘Rocket Cars’.

A new ‘Road Map’ family trail also enables children to explore the cars in the collection linked to different places around the world.
