COVENTRY City legend Ronnie Farmer passed away on Saturday at the age of 86.
Ronnie played for Coventry 318 times scoring 52 goals, and dropped down from the top flight down to the fourth division when he signed for the Sky Blues in 1958.
He helped the club to three promotions and would return to the First Division with Coventry in 1967 before leaving four games later.
Highlights from his time at the club include a hat-trick against Crystal Palace in 1963.
He would finish his career at Notts County and Grantham Town but returned to Coventry in 1969 as youth coach.
During his time in the role, Coventry’s youngsters would reach the 1970 FA Youth Cup final.
In more recent years he regularly visited the Building Society Arena to watch his beloved Coventry play and he also supported schemes including Sky Blues in the Community’s Walking Football project.
