Coventry University gets glowing student feedback in national survey

COVENTRY University is the best in the Midlands for overall satisfaction in teaching, learning opportunities, and student voice according to the latest National Student Survey (NSS) results.

This has seen the University jump by 11 places to 42nd in the overall rankings, which were published last week.

They are also ranked first or joint best in Britain for overall satisfaction in four subjects.

They are computer games and animation, drama, history, and urban, rural and regional planning.

Around 500,000 students across the UK are invited to take part in the NSS every year which allows them to give feedback on their education or experiences of certain courses.

The NSS asks final-year undergraduates for their views between January and the end of April, allowing higher education providers to improve their courses as well as helping students decide where they want to study.

Nearly 70 per cent of Coventry University’s students completed the NSS this year.

Vice-Chancellor Professor John Latham CBE said: “We have a lot of rich feedback to help us focus our efforts over the forthcoming year.

“The results are a testament to the hard work and efforts of all colleagues over the last year.

“My thanks go to them all as we continue our commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience.”
