COVENTRY’S Albany Theatre has signed a new 25-year lease at Earlsdon Park.
The lease has been agreed with Clearbell Property Partners II LP fund as part of the theatre’s plans to expand the back-of-house areas, which will strengthen its ability to offer larger productions.
It will also provide facilities for local schools and drama groups.
Earlsdon Park has been home to Albany Theatre since 2012, with the building itself dating back to 1935 when it was a lecture hall in the Coventry Technical College.
The theatre stages in-house performances and professional productions in dance, drama, music and comedy.
Dominic Moore, Head of Asset Management & ESG Director at Clearbell Capital, who manages the property partners fund, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Albany Theatre further in its expansion plans.
“Earlsdon Park has been the home of the Theatre for some time and continues to contribute to Coventry’s UK City of Culture status.”
