BAGINTON-based teenager Sienna Williams-Ward and her pony Izzy have won the International Mounted Games Association’s European Individual Championships held in Wales.

Sienna, aged 13, is a first year rider in the under-15 age group and competed in three qualifying sessions to earn a place in the semi-finals before then placing second to reach the final.

And Sienna produced a magnificent ride, atop Izzy, in the final race to claim victory by three points ahead of Blackburn’s Millie Wildbore (aged 15) who took silver and Gloucestershire’s Codie Beachus (aged 14) who claimed bronze.

All three riders were representing England at the Championships.

The win marks Sienna’s third individual title in the space of just over a year having previously been crowned under-12 British Individual Champion and under-12 World Individual Champion on her other pony Delphi.

Sienna rides for the County of Central Warwickshire, who are the reigning British champions, and has also represented the North of England region in the Home International, where they became under-12 champions and under-15 reserve champions.
