DAVID Robinson has a unique record of being the first customer through the doors of two Coventry Building Society branches.
The 86-year-old popped into the new branch in the city centre last week to make the first official transaction there.
David was also the first customer at the Building Society’s High Street headquarters 44 years ago.
The firm’s then chairman presented David with a tankard to commemorate the occasion, and David bought the souvenir into the new city centre branch to show it to staff.
David, who has been a society member for over 60 years, said he was delighted to have been the first customer through the doors for a second time.
The new branch had its official opening ceremony on Wednesday (September 28) with the Lord Mayor Coun Kevin Maton cutting the ribbon.
