COVENTRY is the city with the second-highest utility bills in the UK, according to a new study by Solar Panel Installation.
The firm analysed the average cost of energy, gas and water charges to determine the areas paying the most and those which will be most affected by the 20 per cent energy price rise in April.
On average, Coventrians pay an annual cost of £3,044.40 on their utility bills – only Londoners pay more – at £3,221.04-per-year or £268.42-a-month.
Leeds, Bristol, Southampton, Derby, Sheffield, Plymouth, Exeter and Manchester made up the rest of the top ten.
People living in Portsmouth had the cheapest utility bills with their average standing at £1,424.04.
