A FREE community day is getting under way at Binley Fire Station in Coventry.
The event, which features a variety of activities begins at 11am and runs until 3pm today (Saturday June 17).
Visitors can meet local firefighters and see their vehicles and equipment,
pick up great helpful safety advice and info to keep people and families safe.
Firefighters will be showcasing their finely honed skills through demonstrations.
Road Traffic Collision – 12pm and 3pm
Hydraulic platform demo – 1pm
Living room fire demo around 2pm
Young firefighters will undertake a demonstration, showing the skills of the West Midlands Fire Service cadets.
Other demonstrations include a technical rescue hub and road casualty reduction with their VR experience.
And there will be crafts stalls, food and drink vendors, ice cream, bouncy castle and slides, soft play and more.
Fire dog Giddy may be around from around 11am to 1pm.
