PARENTS looking for something to keep their children entertained through the summer holidays will be able to see if they are eligible for the free Coventry Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

Coventry HAF is funded by the Department for Education and gives youngsters the chance to take part in different activities and experiences over the six-week break.

Eligible youngsters include those receiving benefits-related free school meals, are on a child protection plan or are part of the Ukrainian family scheme.

Children are also eligible if they are looked after or assessed to be in financial hardship.

There will be 150 free activities from Monday, July 24 until September 1, including physical exercise, a hot meal and nutritional education.

Trips across the summer include visits to Weston Super Mare and Cadbury World as well as more local venues such as Coombe Abbey, Warwick Arts Centre and The Wave.

When booking, parents can choose activities suitable for different age groups as well as ones for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

People can also search for activities close to their area of Coventry.

Visit https://www.coventry.gov.uk/haf to check if your child is eligible for Coventry HAF and to book activities.
