THOUSANDS of pounds worth of drugs have been taken off Coventry’s streets and three people have been arrested after a series of warrants were carried out last week.
Officers carried out a warrant on Foleshill Road on the morning of July 26, where they found a large amount of cocaine and heroin hidden behind a boarded-up fireplace.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying or offering to supply Class A drugs and was bailed while enquiries continue.
A 39-year-old man was also arrested before being handed over to Immigration Officers.
Cash, scales, and several phones were also seized.
On the same day, officers on patrol on Strathmore Road spotted a car being driven at an unusually slow pace and detained the driver when it stopped.
Police found ten kilogrammes of cannabis with a street value of around £40,000 in vacuum bags ready for sale when searching the car.
A 28-year-old man was charged with possession with intent to supply and driving while disqualified and will appear at Warwick Crown Court for trial on August 23.
