MIKE Ashley-owned firm Frasers Group has lodged a planning application for a global headquarters campus at Ansty, near Coventry.
If approved, the campus is expected to create 7,500 jobs and create £300million for the region.
The campus would include logistics space, offices, R&D retail, a hotel and leisure facilities, while a gym, booksble courts and pitches are also planned.
A spokesperson for Frasers Group said: “We have worked closely with local partners to develop proposals for a global headquarters campus at Ansty.
“A planning application has now been submitted and we will continue to work with our partners through the planning process.”
The firm, which owns Sports Direct, FLANNELS, Frasers, USC, and Everlast, is currently headquartered in Shirebrook, Derbyshire.
The spokesperson added: “The proposals for a global headquarters campus will support the growth of the business, but no decisions have been made about what it will mean for jobs in Shirebrook.”
